At PVBC Discipleship is an above average experience in God’s Word. Sunday School Discipleship is an amazing opportunity to grow as God’s Child and is the second step in the overall Discipleship process at PVBC. We call this the “Please Him” step because if we are to Please Christ, then we will keep His commandments (John 15:14). Sunday School Discipleship is the way to grow in knowledge of the Bible, in relationship to others, and in service to the Lord. Every ministry that we have at PVBC is fueled through Sunday School Discipleship.
Our Discipleship Classes are Age appropriate and Bible Centered. Each class has a well prepared quality teacher that leads by example. Beginning with the Nursery everyone is taught the Bible on their level in a way that they can truly understand and connect. The following are a list of the Children’s Classes and where they meet on the campus:
Nursery (0-3 yrs old) – Back of the Blackie Woods Children’s Center
Teachers – Nancy Woods and Beth Hall
Primary Class (4-5yrs old) – Basement of the Church, Toddler rooms
Teachers – Kim Green and Candice Lee
Junior Church (1st – 5th grades) – Auditorium of the Blackie Woods Children’s Center
Teachers – David and Ronda Goin
Each of the studies are six weeks in length and are designed to take the student to the Redundant Christian Life to the Abundant Christian life. We are starting a new study this coming Sunday, February 13th, “Smoking or Non-Smoking”, a study Biblical Study of our Eternal Choice. The following classes all study the exact same curriculum that has been tailored by the teacher for a practical understanding.
Middle School (6th – 8th grades) – Class “B-3” in Church Basement
Teacher – Adam Chambers
High School (9th – 12th grades) – Class “B-1” in Church Basement
Teachers – Ethan Riddle and Pastor Torrey Easler
Young Adults (ages 18 to 40) – Activity Center (Separate Building on the Campus)
Teachers – Larry Easler and Terry Bailey
Middle Adults (ages 40 to 60) – Class “B-2” in Church Basement
Teacher – EC Stophel
Experienced Adults (ages 60 and over) – Church Auditorium, West Wing
Teachers – Bill Parks and Henry Toler
Ladies of Faith – (adult Ladies of all ages) – Church Auditorium, East Wing
Teachers – Dreama Armstrong and Dawn Easler
Although our Classes are age appropriate all of our Adult Students have the freedom to choose which class and teacher they best connect with. So feel free to visit several classes before you make your final decision and since every class is studying the same topics you won’t miss any material.
